The VIew at the Palm is the latest major attraction that gets added to an already magnificent city of Dubai. Situated sky high, well literally, at a height of around 780 ft at the top floor of The Palm Tower.

The View at the Palm towers 240 meters above Palm Jumeirah on the 52nd floor of the Palm Tower. It aspires to give visitors a world-class experience that educates and inspires, in addition to celebrating the mind-blowing achievements behind the creation of the Palm Jumeirah – an architectural marvel shaped like a palm tree. The View at The Palm has several cutting-edge immersive and interactive story-based experiences lined up for you to soak in the magnificent journey of The Palm Island and how it came to be:

 

1. Building The Reef:  

This exhibit is a beautiful scaled-down version of the underwater environment and coral reefs. Each viewing column has viewports adjusted at different heights to let people of all ages enjoy this experience.

 

2. Wonder Of The Universe: 

This is an interactive GIS map of Palm Jumeirah to see the place in its entirety. Placed on a flat surface, visitors would be able to zoom-in and zoom-out of the map by spinning the table.

The map will throw up facts in 3-D as you zoom in to a place of your interest. 

 

3. Shaping The Palm Jumeirah: 

This interesting exhibit will share the story of how this architectural masterpiece came into being. A mini-satellite will passively project the journey of the island in 2-D on the floor. 

 

It will be supplemented by a step-by-step narration.

 

4. Solidifying The Foundation: 

Palm Island is famous around the world for being one of the most inspiring and remarkable man-led geological feats. This exhibit explains this very structure and its evolution through a cut-column design.

 

Each column displays ‘hear and feel’ enabled sand compactors & layers to show the architectural finesse of the island. 

 

5. Rainbowing: 

Imagine visualising a rainbow from free-flowing columns of sand! This exhibit uses vertical plaques of sand to bring out the natural colours of a huge rainbow. The process has an interesting narration in the background spelling out the process.

THE VIEW EXHIBITION

Aside from the beautiful city views, this spectacular new attraction is also home to the unique museum and theatre, The View Exhibition. This fascinating exhibition will take you back in time to the creation of the magnificent Palm Jumeirah. THE JOURNEY UP

Up, up and away! The ascent up to the observation deck on the 52nd floor takes 3 minutes. The elevator that will usher you safely to those heady heights comes complete with floor-to-ceiling digital projections, that are worth the admission money on their own!

  • Projected onto a table surface will be a GIS map of Palm Jumeirah.

  • One can spin the table to zoom in or zoom out.

  • When you zoom in, factoids pop up on the table providing essential information.


3. Shaping The Palm Jumeirah

  • A mini-satellite projects the signal onto the floor.

  • A passive projection on the floor will detail how the island got its final true shape.

  • Watch as the Palm Jumeirah takes shape while maintaining pitch-perfect accuracy.

  • The detailed process will be supplemented by audio narration.


4. Solidifying The Foundation

  • The geological structure of the island has been reimagined as a column cutaway for better understanding.

  • A sand-compacting column is added in the space to demonstrate how it works, along with textual descriptions.

  • Hear and feel the working of the sand compactors - touch the sand layers and measure the density of its materials.


5. Protecting The Palm Jumeirah

  • A large model detailing the breakwater process set behind glass.

  • Real water is used to exemplify the concept.

  • Watch a column of free-flowing sand, invoking the feel of a rainbow boat in action.
